About this Site

This website shows private investors the possibilities for online stock trading in Central Europe. The idea is that internet makes it possible to trade worldwide, while the major banks only offer online stock trading on markets in Western Europe, the United States and Japan.

The theory is simple. Internet provides global access to information of locally listed companies and to online stock trading platforms of local traders as well. When information and platforms are available in the English language, then the infrastructure is ready to allow online stock trading in Central Europe.

However, in practise the private investor faces some hurdles before getting started. For the private investor to invest globally he needs to have information on the region he wants to invest in. For online stock trading in Central Europe he needs to have information about the available online stock traders, stock exchanges and the listed equities. It takes much time to collect this information. A further limitation is that he needs to have information available in a language he understands, that is in English.

This website aims to help the private investor by collecting, filtering and presenting the information he needs to get started with online stock trading in Central Europe. The collected information is filtered for answering the following questions:
-   Which companies provide information in English?
-   How do companies perform from year to year?
-   Which traders have an online stock trading platform available in English?
-   What are the transaction fees for online stock trading?
-   What are the annual maintenance fees for keeping stocks in portfolio?
The answers to these questions are presented through this website.

At the moment the website covers the three Baltic countries and Poland. In the future the website will expand to cover other countries in Central Europe as well. In the mean time two more questions will be investigated:
-   How can I open an account from where I live?
-   How do the trading platforms look like?

Thanks for your attention.
