Estonian kroon
New member states of the European Union are obliged to adopt the euro. In order to adopt the euro the Estonian kroon has
to participate in the European Exchange Rate Mechanism II (ERM II) for at least two years. The Estonian kroon is allowed to
fluctuate 15% from it's central rate.
Since 28 June 2004 the Estonian kroon is an ERM II currency. The central rate of the
Estonian kroon is 15.6466 EEK to 1 euro. In practice the Estonian kroon does not fluctuate from it's central rate.
