Lithuanian litas
New member states of the European Union are obliged to adopt the euro. In order to adopt the euro the Lithuanian litas has
to participate in the European Exchange Rate Mechanism II (ERM II) for at least two years. Lithuanian litas is allowed to
fluctuate 15% from it's central rate.
Since 28 June 2004 the Lithuanian litas is an ERM II currency. The central rate of the
Lithuanian litas is 3.45280 LTL to 1 euro. In practice the Lithuanian litas does not fluctuate from it's central rate.
